Successful recovery: NAB recovers embezzled money
The company agreed to voluntarily return the embezzled amount.
PESHAWAR:
The National Accountability Bureau in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) recovered money embezzled by a company for supplying substandard generators to medical and dental colleges in the province. A contract worth Rs53.09 million was awarded by the K-P health department (KP). During an inquiry, a loss of Rs.9.8 million was detected as the supplier supplied sub-standard canopies of generators instead of imported ones. The company agreed to voluntarily return the embezzled amount.
