Sunil Narine was announced Man of the match for his splendid spell of four for 26 in ten overs.
Nasir Jamshed and Umar Akmal tried to steer Pakistan towards the target but fell short. They scored 54 and 50 respectively.
Earlier, the Bravo duo helped Windies reach formidable score of 232 for 8 after 50 overs.
Darren Bravo scored 54 of 81 runs while Dwayene Bravo remained not out on 43 off 52 balls.
Shahid Afridi was the pick of the bowlers as he took two for 29, while Saeed Ajmal took two for 45.
Rain interrupted play in the second One-Day International between the West Indies and Pakistan at the Guyana National Stadium on Tuesday, with the West Indies steady at 95 for two off 26 overs batting first.
Pakistan captain Misbahul Haq won the toss and put the visitors in to bat, hoping for a repeat of Sunday's convincing 126-run victory in the first ODI.
Pakistan predictably named an unchanged XI, with Misbah saying at the toss that he expected his bowlers to exploit the conditions following considerable rainfall on the day between the two fixtures.
West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo revealed that he would have also preferred to bat first and despite the batting capitulation two days earlier when his team were routed for just 98, chose to retain the same team, which includes former captain Darren Sammy who is playing his 100th ODI.
Teams:
West Indies: DJ Bravo (captain), C Gayle, J Charles, DM Bravo, L Simmons, M Samuels, K Pollard, D Sammy, K Roach, S Narine J Holder.
Pakistan: Misbahul-Haq (captain), Nasir Jamshed, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Asad Shafiq, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Asad Ali, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Irfan.

Move Umar Akmal up the order @ #4. No place for Asad Shafiq and Hafeez. Hafeez can play as a bowler and bat at #8
One positive that can be taken out of this match is the performance of Umar Akmal. He was immense as a keeper last night. And he showed his talent with the bat. He's a young guy, so he will be inconsistent at times, but we need to show faith and stick with him as he can be a real backbone for our fragile batting line up in the years to come. The problem is that we use Hafeez and Afridi as bowlers (both are in the lineup on this fact alone), but then the question arises...who is going to BAT?! In my opinion, we need to bring Harris Sohail and Umar Amin in place of Hafeez and Asad Shafiq to strengthen our batting. Our bowling is more than capable of defending any total near 200 with Irfan, Wahab, Junaid, Ajmal and Afridi. Also, Misbah should come at number 3, followed by Umar Akmal, Umar Amin and Harris Sohail.
No, Misbah.
You are wrong. You made a bad team selection!
Drop this current failed batting lot and give Harris Sohail and Umar Amin a chance. They have not gone to the Caribbean to do sight seeing!!
Same old excuses, let us admit team played poorly
......and now what ?..........same old, same old.
10 overs, 2 wickets and only 29 runs, and you guys still blame Afridi ?????
Pakistan team is today what a couple of years india was. If Tendulkar clicked India used to win otherwise loose. Today the situation is such that evn if you replace the entire Indian team with 11 replacements , chances are they would beat the best of teams 7 times out of 10
All because of the talent pool they have and better domestic cricket
The problem with Afridi is not his cricket but his IQ. He is one batsman who can lose us the World Cup final by batting when we would need one run & he would try to hit a six & get out on the last ball. He cannot think. He is all set not to perform in the next few series yet will be a permanent feature in Pak cricket.
My dear Misbah the reason we lost is not because of poor shot selection but no shot selection.Misbah in his own right is a good batsman but he influence on the team as a captain is damaging Pakistan future prospects.Firstly the batting order of Pakistan seems to me is a jigsaw puzzle the on tour people responsible cant seem to get it right.Play Akmal at no 3 you give your best batsmen the chance to face the most deliveries and drop down Hafeez at no 6.Drop shafiq we already have a lot of players who can occupy the crease and not score runs freely.Drop wahab bring in junaid.Plus it may seem difficult to do but we need to drop Ajmal for the sake of playing max batsman. Misbah should retire from odi cricket if not at least take the Captaincy away from him.And the reason why i say this is that the Pakistan batsman are naturally aggressive but under Misbahs captaincy they have to play out of character and thus they fail. He consistently fails to rotate the strike and thus the batsman at the other end feels the pressure.
My playing xi of the curent squad for next match in batting order
1.Jamshed,2.Shehzad,3.Akmal,4.Misbah,5.Harris,6.Amin,7.Hafeez,8.Afridi,9.Junaid,10.Asad, 11. Irfan
Afridi is the only match winner player in the team. If he perform Pakistan Win if not Pakistan lose.
Rather than blaming Afridi, I believe the problem lies in the overall batting line-up. Hafeez, outside the subcontinent, has been a failure at number 3. Even if we retain the current lineup, my sincere advice to the management is that they should move Hafeez down to 6, move Akmal upto 4 and Misbah should bat at 3. Akmal seemed like the most comfortable batsman yesterday, however he cannot do much if he is batting with the tailenders all the time while trying to win the game at the same time. He has unfortunately been unlucky with regards to his place in the lineup considering that he is among the better batsmen in the team.
See this is the problem, afridi plays one innings after a year and everyone starts jumping. Pakistan cricket needs to change its system from the grassroot levels and strengthen its domestic cricket. Only then can we expect to be in the league of England or India
Chasing a game requires mental strength. Pakistani teams lacks that.
@Sami Ullah: how was this afridis fault? he bowled and fielded really well today. He didnt bat well but hes definitely not to blame the batting failure. Hafeez Misbah and Jamshed threw their wickets away needlessly and the way that the top order went about the chase was absolutely appalling. The rate they scored at would have been considered slow in a test match!
MAIN HOON AFRIDI.......100 times 1 but only one time 100
Told yaa, Afridi down Pak down. He is anyway not gonna perform for entire series. Goodluck for next series
No, Misbah. You need to select a shot to make bad shot selections.
Bad LUCK guys......!
captain Tuk Tuk failed again.....
ET, can you please explain how a 37 run loss is a trouncing? I guess the reporter knows very little about cricket, he maybe replaced a teammate on holidays.
Afridi's fans be ready to be cursed for next year.
