Crime: Expatriate worker deprived of cash

Robbers took away 16,000 Saudi Riyals (Rs427,000), a cell phone and other valuables from the victim.

An expatriate worker coming from Saudi Arabia was deprived of cash by armed persons in the airport area. 


Umar Zarin, a resident of Battagaram, lodged a report with the police that as soon he left the airport, three unidentified persons, pretending to be new to the city, asked him to sit in their car (LEO-747) to help them reach their destination. He said on the way, they offered him tea from a flask.

The complainant said that as soon as he drank it, he fell unconscious. They looted 16,000 Saudi Riyals (Rs427,000), a cell phone and other valuables from him, Zarin said. The police lodged a case.

Meanwhile, a woman was allegedly kidnapped in the same police jurisdiction. Ansar Nazir lodged a case with the police that his sister Mehak* had been allegedly been kidnapped by Arshad and Nisar from her house.
