KHANEWAL: The Anti-Narcotics Force Multan has seized a large quantity of drugs near Khanewal being smuggled from Peshawar to Karachi in a car and has arrested two suspects involved in the case, Express News reported.

Assistant Director Anti Narcotics Force Multan Manzoor Shah had earlier received a report that a large quantity of drugs was being smuggled from Peshawar to Karachi in a car.

A police check post was setup at Chowk Maitla in Khanewal after the information was received.

A car going through the area was stopped and it was found carrying about 142 kilograms of heroin and opium, worth millions, hidden inside.

Haider and Wali Khan have been arrested in the case.

Correction: The earlier version of the story stated 'cease smuggled drugs' instead of 'seize smuggled goods'. The error has been fixed.
