The buffaloes had been taken for grazing in a nearby field, where they received the shocks from Gepco wires scattered around. They accused Gepco officials of negligence.
Muhammad Aslam Gujjar, the owner of the cattle, said that the buffaloes were worth Rs4 million.
He said some villagers had informed Gujranwala Electric Power Company officials about low wires, but they were told that they were not live wires and that some one from the company would remove them soon.
He said he would file a complaint against the officials concerned.
