Crime: Killed for splashing rainwater

The body was handed over to the family after they refused to get a post-mortem examination.

GUJRANWALA: A rickshaw driver was shot dead on Tuesday allegedly for splashing rainwater on to two commuters. The assailant fled the scene. Police said Rizwan Mehr, 24, was driving his QingQi rickshaw, when near Salfi Chowk, he splashed rainwater on to two men riding a motorcycle. Mehr was stopped and an argument followed. The men called one of their friends and beat up Mehr. One of them shot Mehr and fled. He died before he could be taken to a hospital. The body was handed over to the family after they refused to get a post-mortem examination. They said Mehr was engaged to be married in two months.
