Eradicating corruption: Sindh excise system being computerised

KARACHI: The motor vehicle tax system has been computerised in all the districts, said the excise and taxation department’s director general, Mohammad Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, on Tuesday.

He explained that the step was taken to curb corruption and control revenue losses in the department.

Siddique apprised that the professional tax collection in Karachi was also made accessible online since July 1.

He added that the properly tax and excise duty system was also in the process of being computerised for which infrastructure had already been acquired.
