A PTI leader told The Express Tribune that Imran is accompanied by his political advisor Naeemul Haq.
Imran will get a medical checkup in London and spend some time with his sons, sources said. He will also meet his ex-wife Jemima Khan in the United Kingdom, added the sources.
The sources further said he will take up the issue of PTI leader Zehra Hussain’s murder with the British government.
This will be Imran’s first visit to any country since his party emerged as the second most popular party in terms of votes in the May 11 general elections.
Imran will return to Pakistan on July 20 and will resume his political activities. PTI President Javed Hashmi and PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be looking after the party affairs in Imran’s absence.

The presence of IK is not required in APC as his view point is known to every one that only solution is to do dialogue with the killers and terrorists and nothing else, that's why he himself not visited the funerals of two of PTIs MPA in KPK as it gives wrong signal to terrorists. However, it is interesting to note that he has gone for medical treatment to the country who is killing IK allies in Afghanistan under NATO flag ??????????

Well regarding 12th July APC ... he said very clearly that same APC was done in PPP regime under PM Yousaf Raza Gillani ... GIVE PEACE A CHANCE ... was the end of APC ...which is not implemented ... Its not a time of another APC ... its time to implement decision of previous APC in letter and spirit. ... thats what he said in recent interview.
In the past, IK criticized Shahbaz Sharif for going abroad to treat an ailment as malignant as cancer and always taunted the former for not trusting the health facilities available in the country. Now then, how bad can the injuries be of IK that he cannot find an Orthopedic Doctor of repute in Pakistan?
For the record, IK has already raised serious question mark on the health care facilities of Pakistan by getting orthopedic treatment administered at a cancer hospital which was made by HIM and treated by doctors hired by HIM.
It's better to see your family after a long time instead of participating in a debate compeition on national security. Anyone remembers how many APCs have already been called on security issues? Any remember joint parliament session and its resolution? What happened to those resolutions?

I thought education in KPK is at par with UK and he has gone to bring them back. Since UK has dumped Altaf Bhai now, Imran Khan has gone to agree the terms of appointment for replacing Altaf.

Nothing wrong with going abroad to see his sons but why write a letter to PM and ask for APC when you are not going to be around to attend it? I mean IK is one of the most popular politician and has a large vote bank his input would be paramount. Surely he can re schedule his appointments? All I ask now is that IK should accept whatever comes out of this APC since he didn't make any contribution and support it.

He does not have a time to attend the most important All Parties Conference on 12th July, yet he was keep saying we need to have national security policy but in the end his personal visit is more important than shaping national security policy.
Although the All Parties Conference was announced 10 days ago, but he could not change his plan.

What is the in taking up zehra hussain murder with british govt.It clearly indicates that he is least interested in other such murders taking place across the country i.e bashir bi;lour sana zehri brother and son and many otherhazaras in blouchistan and series of killings in karachi.
Country should come first and then the family and medical check ups he should have attended the APC as he was the one who proposed for the conference. This behaviour is really very irritating. He was also absent during the last APC called by ANP. What does it mean that he has no interest in our country affairs only his ex wife is important.

I believe Imran Khan is having an important meeting with Hugh Grant and Jemima in London. Terrorism conference can wait till he returns to Pakistan to criticize the abject corruption, lethargy and incompetence in the country. Remember, within 90 days, there will be no more corruption, terrorism or unemployment in KPK!!!
As a human being Imran Khan needs a woman. I feel sorry he has to fly every time all the way to London to be with one, as in Pakistan it is morally not allowed to stay with your ex-wife.

@Parade: the two man who were injured in the accident underwent surgury in Shaukat Khanum and were subsequently released. Their injuries were less complicated i.e. a broken leg etc.

If u r criticizing I.K for avoiding APC then u should have criticized Shareefs for being in LONDON when raymond devis case was being handled here and should have criticized zardari for being in Dubai when Pakistan was facing flood crisis.

Wrong timings. He will be missing July 12 terror conference and will show up afterwards with barrage of criticism that conference should have done this or that. Our national political leaders should realize when they need to be in the country and participate in crucial decisions. Let's forget Zardari, who has never available in Pakistan, but it does include Nawaz Sharif too whose past history been missing at crucial moments.
