KARACHI: Concerned about the ongoing violence in Lyari, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s coordination committee has condemned the activities of the gangsters. In a statement issued on Friday, the party said Kutchis, Kathiawaris, Memon and other peaceful communities in Lyari need protection.

The ‘terrorists’ belonging to the Peoples Amn Committee are subjecting people to torture while the law enforcement agencies watch silently, the statement added. The committee demanded the governor and chief minister take immediate action.

Where is police, rangers and other law enforcing agencies. Why not talk shows on TV channels on the plight of peoples of Lyari who are victims of the conspiracy of PPP and Peoples Amn Committee. Perhaps, they are waiting that at last MQM will come up for the protection of these victims and then they will talk that Lyari is disturbed because two groups i.e. MQM and Lyari gangesters are fighting with each other in that area. My God !
