Dealing in drugs: Court hands out two life sentences

Sardar Ali and Qaiser were convicted as charged, awarded life sentences and fined Rs 100,000 each.

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Friday awarded life sentences to two men convicted of possession of drugs. Gulshan Iqbal police had arrested Sardar Ali, Qaiser and Muhammad Ali in 2007. The court acquitted Muhammad Ali ruling that evidence against him was not conclusive. Sardar Ali and Qaiser were convicted as charged, awarded life sentences and fined Rs 100,000 each.
