Fake documentation: Home dept official ‘suspended’

Jokhio was accused of helping Sehar fake an appointment letter for the DSP rank.

KARACHI: An official of the provincial home department was reportedly suspended for making fake documentation to help a police officer enjoy out-of-turn promotion.

The section officer at the Sindh home department, Abdul Rasheed Jokhio, was reportedly suspended by the additional secretary for home, Waseem Ahmed. He was accused of helping Irshad Ali Raza Sehar by making a fake appointment letter for the DSP rank and issuing fake promotion orders of the SP rank. Sehar, who is currently deployed as an SP, received out-of-turn promotions and is serving as the personal staff officer of the Sindh IGP Shahid Nadeem Baloch.

According to an official, an inquiry has also been conducted to look more into Jokhio’s dealings. Meanwhile, Sehar called these reports fake and believed that someone was conspiring against him.
