Law and order: Four killed in the city

KARACHI: KARACHI: At least four people were killed in the city on Sunday.

The body of a police head constable was found under Rexer Bridge within the limits of Pak Colony police station on Sunday.

The 30-year-old victim, identified as Zahid Shah, was an employee of the Sindh Reserve Police and posted at Garden police station. Pak Colony SHO Bilal Raza said Shah had been missing since July 27. “There were significant evidences of torture on the body and he was shot multiple times.” The deceased hailed from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

Meanwhile, an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was shot dead near Sindhi hotel. The police said 25-year-old Abdul Sattar alias Kala was a member of MQM’s unit 139.

Separately, a man identified as Atif Qadri, believed to be a Sunni Tehreek activist by the party spokesperson, Faheem Sheikh,  was shot dead at Lal Market located in Sector 5-J of New Karachi.

A young man, identified as Imran Yousuf, 21, was shot dead in Azam Basti, allegedly by his neighbour.
