Pakistan Peoples Party’s Owais Muzaffar and Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar have announced that they will not collect their salaries, allowances and other perks and privileges from the government.
During the Sindh Assembly session on Saturday, law minister Dr Sikandar Mandhro on behalf of both the MPAs said that, “I have received a message from these MPAs who have requested to send their salary and allowances to the government treasury for the welfare of people.” Muzaffar and Mahar will not be using government vehicles and transportation as well, he said. After the law minister read this message, the MPAs belonging to the treasury benches thumped their desk and appreciated this decision. Sindh government pays up to Rs65,000 to its lawmakers for salary and other allowances.
