A reforms implementation cell has formed working groups for education, health, local government, and e-governance to accomplish the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government’s goals. According to a handout issued on Saturday, the groups were formed on the directives of K-P Chief Secretary Arbab Mohamad Shahzad.
The working group on the education sector will look at the evolution of education management, adult education, curriculum reforms, among other areas. The group will include representatives from the Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education, including former secretary education Abdullah and Musarrat Qadeem.
Under the aegis of the health sector working group, one of the reforms will be the integration of health care/immunisation at the basic health unit level. The minister for health will be the chairman and other doctors, including Shaukat Khanum Hospital CEO will be part of the group. The working group on local government (LG) and rural development (RD) sector would be headed by Minister for LG and RD Inayatullah Khan. Secretary finance will chair the working group on e-governance.
Each working group will submit its report on July 5.
