More changes: Nazeer Saeed new information secretary

In yet another round of reshuffle in the top bureaucracy, Captain (retd) Usman Zikriya, a BS-20 officer presently posted as inspector general of police Gilgit-Baltistan, has been directed to report to the Establishment Division with immediate effect.


According to sources the decision was made due to terrorist attack on foreign tourists at Nanga Parbat base camp in Bunar Das despite intelligence reports of possible terrorist attack on foreigners, no steps were taken to avert the deadly attack.

Meanwhile, Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretary Nazeer Saeed has been posted as Secretary Information and Broadcasting in place of Captain (retd) Agha Nadeem who has been directed to report to the Establishment Division. Saeed is elder brother of Secretary Petroleum and Natural Resources, Abid Saeed.

State Minister of Housing and Works Usman Ibrahim is maternal uncle of Nazeer Saeed.

Similarly, Secretary Climate Change Muhammad Ali Gardezi has been posted as Secretary Aviation and Additional Secretary Establishment Division Raja Hassan Abbas has been posted as additional Secretary Incharge Climate Change.

Ex- Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Khawaja Siddique Akbar, a BS-22 Officer of Secretariat Group, currently on leave shall stand retired from government service on attaining age of superannuation on 22 July 2013.

The deputation period of Dr Kaleem Imam, a BS-20 officer of Police Service of Pakistan, as Deputy Police Commissioner (D-1) UNAMID, is extended for the period from 11 october 2013 to 10 october 2014.

Moreover, Uzma Munir, a BS-18 officer of Inland Revenue Service, presently posted as director, Board of Investment, is transferred and posted as director Benazir Income Support Programme, under section 10 of Civil Servant Act. 1973.
