MUZAFFARGARH: A man was arrested on Thursday for killing his uncle two weeks ago. Police claimed that the suspect had confessed to his crime. An accomplice was also arrested.

Police said the deceased, Abdus Sattar, had removed his nephew Bilal from the stage in an election rally in Multan. The two had had an argument over this.

The matter resolved after some family members and neighbours intervened. On June 13, they said, thirty-year-old Abdus Sattar was shot dead in Ramazan Colony.

Bilal and his friend Sadiq had been missing. On Thursday, the two were arrested. Police said during interrogation, Bilal had confessed that he had shot his uncle with help from Sadiq.

He told police that he had felt humiliated when Abdus Sattar told him to get off the stage in front of a crowd. He said he had wanted to kill him since then.
