Bannu blast: Aman Committee chief among three killed

Initial reports suggest the blast was caused by a remote-controlled device.

BANNU: Aman Committee chief Malik Hashim Khan along with his son and nephew were killed in an explosion that took place in the area of Janaikhel, Bannu Express News reported on Wednesday.

Initial reports suggest the blast was caused by a remote-controlled device which exploded when the car carrying Khan passed by.

The car was also destroyed in the blast.

The bodies were shifted to District Headquarter Hospital, Bannu.

Earlier in the day, the Hayatabad police SHO was killed while four others including his driver and gunman were injured in unknown militants firing on their van near Karkhano Market, Peshawar.
