ISLAMABAD: Quadruplets born last month at Quaid-i-Azam International Hospital were handed over to their parents on Tuesday.

In a small ceremony at the hospital, Dr Col (retd) Muhammad Afzal, head of paediatrics, gave the babies, three boys and a girl in their parents’ care. The boys have been named Jasher, Aaron, Ethan and their sister will be called Netanya. The babies were hospitalised for 40 days after birth as they were premature, but now they are stable, said Dr Afzal.

Noble Jan, father of the quadruplets said, “During the second  month of pregnancy, the doctor told us there were four babies and since then we’ve been anxiously waiting for the memorable moment.”

“It won’t be easy to support a family of seven but I consider these children a blessing and am hopeful that Allah will help me to provide them with thed best education,” he said. The babies were expected at the end of July or the first week of August but my wife had complications due to which they were born before their due date.
