Hussainia Madressah blast: Four suspects arrested

Following the blast on Friday police has tightened security provisions in the city.

PESHAWAR: At least four suspects were arrested for their alleged involvement in a suicide blast at Hussania Madrassah on June 21.

The arrests were made during a search operation conducted by Gulbahar police on Monday.

Gulbahar police station Assistant Superintendent Police Ismail Karak said following Friday’s blast police has tightened security in the city.

Kark said officials at Ijazabad checkpoint signalled for two men on a motorcycle to stop but the men abandoned their vehicle and escaped. Following this, police launched a search operation in Saeed Street and Gulabad area and arrested four suspects hailing from Dir. Arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession.

The suspects whose names could not be ascertained were shifted to the Gulbahar police station for further investigations. Karak added they had also launched search operations on a minor scale all over the city.

Fifteen people were killed, while 27 others were injured in the attack.

So the supposedly Pro Taliban, PTI government has caught suspects involved in the attack on a Shia seminary, carried out by the Taliban. . Which is quite odd, because if you read op-eds/blogs on ET, it would seem as if PTI are best friends with Taliban and actually provide them with moral, financial and political support to kill people. . I am confused :S
