Violent husband: Man stabs wife for refusing to return to him

A case is registered on the complaint of Sehrish’s father.

MULTAN:


A man stabbed his wife on Monday after she refused to return to him. Her mother and 14-year-old brother were also injured in the attack.


They were taken to Nishtar Hospital, where doctors treating them said that the child was in a critical condition.

The suspect, Muhammad Asif, 25, had gone to his in-laws’ house in Jalilabad Colony to bring back his wife, Sehrish Bibi, 23, who had been living with her parents following an argument with him.

Her family said Asif, who was trying to persuade Sehrish suddenly started beating her and stabbed her. When her mother tried to stop him, he injured her as well. Sehrish’s brother was also injured. Asif fled.

Sehrish and her mother underwent surgery and were later reported to be out of danger.

Her brother was operated thrice and was said to be in critical condition.

A case was registered on the complaint of Sehrish’s father.
