A protest was organised in Shergarh against health and information minister Shaukat Yousafzai for trivialising Tuesday’s suicide attack, which killed 37 people in the area. Residents along with supporters of Aman Jirga Jalala said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan should remove Yousafzai from the provincial cabinet.
In the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Thursday, MPA Nighat Orakzai had demanded that lawmakers condemn the attack in Shergarh during funeral prayers to which Yousafzai stated: “It wasn’t doomsday.” Protesters burnt Yousafzai’s effigy in protest of his remarks in the assembly.
Aman Jirga President Bahaudddin said if Yousafzai cannot condole with the victim’s families at least he should not make it worse for them. He added the minister must be expelled from his post. “It wasn’t doomsday for Yousafzai, but it surely was for all those families and people who lost their loved ones in the terrible explosion,” he said. “An elected provincial assembly member died in the explosion, innocent lives were lost, but the provincial minister thinks this is a normal situation.”

I voted for PTI, but I must say that increasingly it seems like IK has no clue what's about to hit him if he doesn't straighten out his party's ranks soon. KPK is no cakewalk even for the most hardened politicians.
@Saima Durrani: Excellent comment. Indeed Malala Yousafzai was great as he stood infront of terrorist Talebans but this Shoukat Yousafzai is as coward as his party -- as for as their stance regarding Taleban is concerned.
I think that was not true statement related to Shuakat Yousafzai as he explained that his statement was in response of regarding health issue and the reporters took it with out the actual context, so one should give a chance to explain his point of view, he is a mature person and if he is denying, it does mean that there is something wrong and opponents are just taking support of propaganda.
TTP would be so grateful to the people of KP by electing PTI. Who said TTP doesn't have a political wing.
Now waiting for Shirin Mazari's press release that this was an individual's statement not the party policy
These people from PTI are taking no interest in KPK affairs, we still feels as ANP Govt to be here
okay now im confused cause he used this doomsday statement in a debate on hospitals in assembly on Monday. never said it for suicide victims on friday. infact Yusufzai was quite vocal on teh attack on the debate on tis topic. Someone created this later on.
Malala Yousafzai was a brave girl than this Shoukat Yousafzai. We miss Malala Yousafzai in these testing times !!
Reality check for PTI. Their flawed narrative will no longer as they're in power now. I wish they understand people's sentiments or wait for PTI's doomsday!
Inhumen statment we as nation to be ashamed to have such type of leader. I am of the view that we have a lot to do gain maturity for selection good people which have simpathy with nation. For Imran Khan I will say he has great past but in selection of such type in humen people is not a wise decision. At I will say it is totaly immature statement should be taken back. B.J
This is just a start.. Siraj ul Haq the guy who leads funeral prayers of suicide bombers & IK's effigies are next.. if they continue in same fashion.. The new KP govt officials don't visit the blast site or visit the victims of blasts in hospitals or attend funerals of deceased..
Shame on immaturity.!!!
This is PTI for you.
