Hazardous 60 maunds adulterated tea seized

A case has been registered against the two men under the Pure Food Act.

MULTAN: Food Department inspectors seized 60 maunds (2.4 tonnes) of substandard tea from a factory on Friday.  Two men, identified as Malik Asif Jameel and Imran Khan, were arrested.

A police team accompanied the food inspectors in the raid. Mumtazabad police said the factory in Yaqoob Town was raided, where the two men used to mix dyed chick pea scales and tea. It was being sold into the retail market.

A case has been registered against the two men under the Pure Food Act.
