PTI MNA from Mardan, Mujahid Ali Khan made the demand during a debate on the budget in the National Assembly.
Khan had won the NA-11 seat in the May 11 elections.
Another PTI MNA Arif Alvi clarified that Khan had made this demand in his personal capacity, and this had nothing to do with the party.
Earlier in 2011, PTI chairman Imran Khan had condemned Qadri’s reception as a hero on the premises of the Anti Terrorism Court, Rawalpindi.
“Extremism and radicalism have penetrated our society deeply,” he had said, adding that it is especially harmful for the youth.
Qadri never argued that he had not killed Taseer – shortly after he shot him dead, Qadri said his motive was Taseer’s apparent opposition to the country’s blasphemy law. But if the murder wasn’t shocking enough, it was the stringent defence put up by religious parties, whose activists showered rose petals on Qadri at his court hearing, brought him flowers on Valentine’s Day and set up Facebook pages glorifying him.

I respect the fact that report different sides to the story and try to impartial but really ET, it's not cutting it. I get these partial tendencies' vibes from you. Like example, the title. "Naya Pakistan?" If something is wrong and it's from the party that I am very enthusiastic about - I shall not blindly follow my party. I support the right thing to be done/do. Every person has the right to have his/her opinion on different issues, and a person's view does not reflect the party views. If this would have come from party senior leasership, then it would have been a different story. What I am talking about is very common in USA and UK, where members of the same party do differ on different issues. We are not a very mature democracy yet, hence people make a big stink out of this.
IK should dismiss him to be true to his words and beliefs. Otherwise once in politics with seats, ur all the same.

Imran had given in detail comments about Qadri's position to him. The MNA must have considered discussing it with the party. But as alvi said it was on his personal capacity that he made this demand. But it should be investigated who spread hatred against Taseer that Qadri was so offended that he killed him.
In the beginning, I used to support Imran Khan. I thought an Oxford educated person like him would have moderate ideas. Then, I listened to Imran Khan on a TV talk show. He was saying with passion and anger that some are spreading false information that his divorced wife was a Jew converted to Islam but that his divorced wife was never a Jew but was a Christian converted to Islam. It shocked me. If the former religion of your ex-wife matters that much, and also if a person thinks that a Jew converted to Islam is different than a Christian converted to Islam what would be the mentality of this person?

Let u see how they respond further. In my opinion there is no need to go to the next level by dis qualifying him or making a hype out of this issue (as the issue is too sensitive). But they should clearly re-define their firm stance against Mumtaz Qadri.

I have many comments, PTI fans are expecting some kind of reaction from party leadership on this demand. Others are taunting PTI for the deviation between their pre election vows & their act as of now, few are raising questions over Arif Alvi's clarification, few are asking about PTI's discipline etc.
I'd say that this is just the beginning & there 's much to come because PTI is not a party it is a platform of people with totally different thoughts who are gathered to mess the administration of Pakistan in a different way.

It was expected from the PTI parliamentarians and after few days you may hear same demand from Imran Khan too. Even though PTI was able to attract many young moderates because of Imran’s personality, they are basically a B-team of Jamat-e-Islami. The main gurus of PTI have same rightist mindset with justification to all atrocities committed by the religious extremists. Just like PML-N, they have learned to condemn these actions to fool the common people but always accommodate and facilitate the extremist minds and ideology. I wish PPP get rid of Zardari and other opportunist leaders and adopt moderate, secular and liberal ideology. It can be an ideal platform for all the progressive forces of Pakistan because the true workers of PPP are still very committed liberal minds.
