A grisly crime: Labourer killed by co-workers

The police rushed to the crime scene and shifted the body to the DHQ for a post-mortem.

RAWALPINDI: A 24-year-old labourer was bludgeoned to death by his co-workers at building under construction in the limits of Airport Police Station on Sunday.

The deceased, identified as Muhammad Rasheed, hailed from Khanpur, Toba Tek Singh. The Airport Police SHO Aziz Aslam Niazi said that Rasheed and two co-workers had been working at a building under construction in Sector 4, Street 10 of the Airport Housing Society.

He said that they had reportedly quarreled with each other, after which the two unknown labourers hit Rasheed with iron roads and fled the scene. The police rushed to the crime scene and shifted the body to the DHQ for a post-mortem. The police also recovered blood-stained iron rods from the crime scene.
