A woman was beaten up and her head shaved by her husband and a male accomplice in Ghulam Muhammad Abad on Friday.
Nazia Parveen, a resident of Marzi Pura, filed a complaint with the city police officer (CPO) alleging that her husband, Rafaqat Ali, and his accomplice Ahmad Ali had beaten her and shaved her head on Friday.
City police officer Riffat Mukhtar Raja ordered Station House Officer (SHO) Ghulam Muhammad Abad arrest the accused immediately.
When contacted, Ghulam Muhammad Abad Station House Officersaid, “The police have registered a case...We are looking for Rafaqat Ali.”
Muhammad Amin, a neighbour, said that Nazia Parveen and Rafaqat Ali had been married for almost a decade.
He said City police officer Rafaqat Ali had wanted his wife to seek her share of property from her parents but she was reluctant to do so.
