Tech-savvy generation: Telenor holds education programme

Irfan Wahab Khan said that the programme was an educational initiative.

KARACHI: An internet awareness programme was recently conducted by Telenor Pakistan under which workshops were conducted in 364 schools across Sindh.

The programme, Telenor Talkshawk Internet Champion, aimed to train young students to enable them to tap the potential of mobile internet. Around 12,797 students took part in the initiative out of which 75 will compete in the grand finale. Speaking at the concluding ceremony, Telenor Pakistan chief marketing officer Irfan Wahab Khan said that the programme was an educational initiative and its main objective was to empower a new digital generation in the country.
