Press Release June 12, 2013

KARACHI: A team of students, Formula Nust Racing Team, from Nust-PNEC will participate in the competition, Formula Student, being held from July 3 to July 7 at the Silverstone racing circuit in Northamptonshire, United Kingdom. Formula Student aims to provide a platform to students to design, manufacture and conceptually market a Formula Car. Students are encouraged to develop an enterprise where they have the resources to build and sell Formula Cars. More than 130 universities are participating in this year’s competition. The team’s leader, Najiullah Hussaini, a final-year student of Mechanical Engineering at PNEC-NUST, however, hopes that his team will manufacture a car which will stand out. The competition involves severe testing methods where the car will be assessed on durability, economic viability, sustainability and justification for using a particular part in the car.
