The case was heard by a three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. The court said that the caretaker government made decisions regarding policy which were outside their roles and responsibilities.
Additionally, the court stated that provincial chief secretaries and IG police are not the relevant authorities for such decisions and that the federal government had the authority to review and retain postings ordered by the caretaker government.
The orders are in response to a petition filed now federal minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, member of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
In his petition, Khawaja Asif claimed that the heads of NHA, NEPRA, SNGPL, SSGPL, Pakistan Minerals Development Corporation, National Fertiliser, OGDCL, State Life Corporation, PTDC, Pakistan Software Export Board, FIA, and different departments of the PTA were transferred by the caretakers by overstepping its mandate.

Freeze all transfer/new postings atleast for three years and let people work. Everyday transfer is destroying the whole system
People need to read this: http://www.thenews.com.pk/Todays-News-13-22375-PM-urged-to-review-sons-posting
What about his son who was called all the way from canada, hired in NHA in grade 18 and was promoted overnight to grade 20.I think he should be made to pay back all the money he recieved from NHA after being fired.
Quite efficient man!!!!!!!! 442 wow!
442 transfers, appointments, and promotions
WHAT No wonder he doesn't care for the rigged elections. Sold out!
Corrupt people!
Very timely indeed. Its amazing how the SC is helping PML-N appoint its own people on every post by first removing Chairman NAB, FBR and now all others. Just saying :)
Looks like caretaker PM was very busy/ efficient on doing postings during his short time period.
@Baloch: I agree with you that SC is not addressing main issues but the validity of this verdict can't be denied because caretaker PM is not entitles to do any such postings. Correct me if i'm wrong
SC said CT government has the mandate to file a case against Article 6... here they said CT do not have any authority for transfers..... just WOW!
Incredibly corrupt man this caretaker PM. Using his little time in power to give postings to his family and friends. Fortunately SC has taken a wise decision. Regards, Rehan
Disappointed by the decision, Judiciary is not addressing the main issues and wasting the time of whole nation.
