Gender disparity: Slight improvement registered

The girls-to-boys enrolment ratio has risen to 0.90 from 0.82 in 2001-02.

ISLAMABAD: According to the Economic Survey 2012-13, released on Tuesday, in terms of achieving the Millennium Development Goal to eliminate gender disparities in education at all levels by 2015, the country has improved, but not by enough. According to the indicator for primary education, the girls-to-boys enrolment ratio has risen to 0.90 from 0.82 in 2001-02.
