Security forces carried out intelligence-based operations in Panjgur district of Balochistan and Kurram district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), killing six terrorists, including three affiliated with Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan.
According to a news release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation in Panjgur was conducted on reported information about the presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy group.
"During the conduct of the operation, own forces effectively engaged the terrorists' location, and after an intense exchange of fire, three Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell," the ISPR new release stated.
The dead terrorists, it said, included local area terrorist commander Farooq alias Soro, terrorist Adeel and terrorist Waseem. "Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area," it added.
"Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorist found in the area. The relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of 'Azm-e-Istehkam', as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, by the security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country," it further said.
