“In addition to Pakistan, Israel has exported such equipment to Egypt, Algeria, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco,” the British report stated.
The report is mainly about the British government’s permits for arms and security equipment exports.
The report was released by Britain’s Department for Business, Innovation and Skills which oversees security exports and publishes regular reports on permits granted or denied to purchase arms, military equipment or civilian items that are monitored because they can be put to security uses.
The Haaretz news report revealed that according to the British report, Israel sought to purchase British components in 2011 to export radar systems to Pakistan, as well as electronic warfare systems, Head-up Cockpit Displays (HUD), parts for fighter jets and aircraft engines, optic target acquisition systems, components of training aircraft, and military electronic systems.
“In 2010, Israel applied for permits to export electronic warfare systems and HUDs with components from Britain to Pakistan,” the newspaper further stated.
A spokesman of ISPR categorically denied the news report, saying it was misleading and not based on facts.

@Muhammad Ziad: If you take it racially rather than rationally, it is justified to mention that Pashtunes too are a lost tribe of Jews so it is now Jews vs Jews. Only then this is a perfect equation. Yeah, if you tell Israel this reality, they may block supply of arms to Pakistan.

This is not first time that the Pak Army has received equipment from Israel. In the 80's for the Afghan war against the soviets, USA provided Soviet made weapons equipment that Israel had. So from Israel to US to Pak!

Pakistani Government and State Authorites have met the Israeli's colleagues during last decades in particular with two military Presidents Zia-ul-Haq and Pervez Musharaf and have been receiving assistance from Israel directly and indirectly. Saudi Arabia has an agreement with USA for the defence of its national territory which uses the equipment made by Israeli engineers and the Israeli companies which works well and the country is well defended. Do we in Pakistan need to question about the technical formation of the local personnel?

He's right and has put his thoughts in the perspective. Regarding Palestine supporting India during the Kargil conflict, forget the efficacy or effectiveness of that support to India for a moment... The point he's making is.. that there's no reciprocation from their side and in fact their position has been counter to that of Pakistan's. Its better not to be more Palestinians than the Palestinians themselves, but be pragmatic...

First of all, Abdus Salaam was the citizen of a different country when he trained the Israeli scientist. Second, it was neither sanctioned by the Pakistani government or the Israeli government.
Most importantly, why would you mention this when Ahmadis in your country are already being persecuted. Ahmadis are called as Indian agents, American agents, Jewish agents and you go and and mention this irrelevant detail? Sad.

3) Did they vote for India at UNSC on Kargil? If they did, did that make a major difference to India?

@np: I thught it was obvious in my reply. It has nothing to do with countries having diplomatic relations with Israel or not. Why not ask your Passport office if you can use the same Passport for travelling to Israel and Indonesia for example. Some muslim countries might even imprison you if they spot the entry stamp into Israel.

A clarification. Pakistan acquired electronic countermeasures equipment for some of the PAF aircraft from the United States. The contract was with the Americans whose equipment has Israeli components as well. As such this became a sale of Israeli components to Pakistan. The reality is that Pakistan did not directly contract with the Israelis. The American company outsources some of the components of this equipment to Israel. So no need to get all up in arms. If anything its good technology.
Israel is a reality, deal with it.
Even if they did, what's wrong? They are a major power and extremely influential, they way this world works, whatever the power says is reality. The weak don't exist or survive.

Even Indian citizens go to prety much all Muslim countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, KSA, UAE, Turkey, Egypt etc,) though India has full diplomatic relations with Israel.

Why can't we, for a change, be friends with Israel? We would do well by accepting Israel's existence which is a solid ground reality. We should extend hands of friendship towards Israel and India to end this nonsense hatred once and for all. I have Israeli/Jewish friends and they are very nice people. Similarly a lot of Israelis will also have nice Pakistani friends in the US or UK.

The import of these items has no problem, the point of concern is that whether these equipments are free from all surveillance gadgets which secretly sent reports to the manufacturer the use of these items and other related information and some time the manufacturer has control when to work and when not to work. Example the tracker system in our cars.
