PESHAWAR:

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) is expected to complete its cabinet on June 11, it was learnt on Friday.

With the induction of 13 more ministers, the K-P cabinet will be 15-member strong, officials familiar with the matter said.

Two senior ministers Sikandar Sherpao and Sirajul Haq, parliamentary leaders of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) and Jamaat-e- Islami (JI) respectively, had taken oath on May 31 – the same day Pervez Khattak took over the office of chief minister.

Among ministers to take oath on Tuesday are JI’s Inayatullah and Habibur Rahman. This would give the JI three ministries. Ibrar Hussain and Bakht Baidar from the QWP will also be inducted giving both parties equal strength.

Shahram Khan Tarakai from the Awami Jamhoori Ittehad Pakistan, PTI’s coalition partner in K-P, will also be part of the cabinet.

The remaining eight ministers are from the PTI.
