New appointments: Javed Aslam appointed chief secretary

Aslam is a grade 22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Services, formerly the District Management Group

LAHORE: Javed Aslam was appointed the new Punjab chief secretary on Thursday. Shahid Khan, the home secretary, had held additional charge of the office. Aslam is a grade 22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Services,  formerly the District Management Group. He has served as the Planning and Development Board chairman until he was repatriated to the federal government on April 7. Aslam has previously served as additional chief secretary, secretary of the Excise and Taxation Department and the Education Department and Sargodha Division commissioner.
