ISLAMABAD: As the tiff between the Olympic bodies in Pakistan shows no sign of abating even as the threats for international disassociation increase, The Interim Committee of Pakistan Olympics Association (POA) on Thursday directed all sports bodies to stay away from the illegal and unconstitutional meeting called by the sacked president of POA Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hassan on June 8 at Olympics House, Lahore.

Speaking at a meeting held at Pakistan Sports Complex, Chairman Interim Committee of POA Asif Bajwa said that whoever is found participating in the meeting will be disaffiliated from POA and Pakistan Sports Board.

He said, any officials who attend the meeting will also be banned from participating in any sports activity or event.

Arrangements for 32nd National Games

Attended by secretaries of all National Sports Federations, the meeting also discussed at length the arrangements that have been made for 32nd National Games.

It was decided that the event would feature 24 men and 10 female disciplines.

Other things finalised during the meeting included equipment requirements for the events, names of officials who would be responsible for managing events and venues.
