KARACHI:

All Pakistan Lady Health Workers Welfare Association staged a sit-in at all entry and exit points of the Sindh secretariat on Wednesday over unpaid salaries for the last six months.

The workers demanded the chief justice of Pakistan to take action against provincial health and finance officials.

They also demanded action against the non-implementation and violation of Supreme Court’s suo motu notice on March 26, that called for regularisation of lady health workers services. Naseem Gul, a lady health worker, said she was unable to run her household of  five children, adding that if the situation goes worse then she would be forced to commit suicide.
