Alam’s victory in the 333-metre race, where he beat Wapda’s Dilsher and Army’s Mohammad Rafiq, was not the only win for SSGC as they also bagged a gold medal in the team sprint event.
Pakistan Railways’ Wazir Ali won the gold medal in the 102-kilometre race with SSGC’s Mohammad Sabir finishing second and Wapda’s Zahid Gulfam in third position.
Wapda won the four-kilometre team pursuit as they timed four minutes and 51 seconds,
Overall, SSGC were atop the leader board with 196 points while Wapda were second with 149 points and Pakistan Army finishing third.
