Police encounter: Alleged robber killed, another injured

The police said that they were on their routine patrol when the robbery happened.

KARACHI: An alleged robber was killed and another was wounded in an encounter with the police on Northern Bypass within Mochki police station remits.

The police said the encounter took place when  Maher Ali aka Kalu and his companion Zohaib Zubair tried to escape after robbing a cell phone and cash from passerby, Nadeem.

The police added that they were on their routine patrol when the robbery happened.

The police have also claimed that they recovered two pistols and a snatched motorcycle from their possession.

Maher died on the spot and Zohaib was shifted to Civil hospital under police’s custody for medical treatment.
