The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (Unisame) has made a study for investments in Lahore, Gujranwalla and Sialkot regions for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of Karachi who have decided to shift to Punjab.
The union had approached the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority for help in facilitating the businesses. President Unisame Zulfikar Thaver said that due to deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi the union requested its patrons to help those SME units who have decided to shift to Punjab and guide them in selecting the correct locations.
Vice chairman of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) and UNISAME patron Chaudhry Sameeullah, provided his support to the project and pointed out various locations in Punjab he believed were available for investment.

Don't forgot up and coming Gawdar city which I think will attract unprecedented levels of people from all over Pakistan.
This is the consequence of PPP's 5 year rule and the direct role of MQM's Governor during the last 11 years.
Karachi was one of the key commercial and tourism hubs across South Asia and Middle East.
Due to political instability and now exrteme violence:
It lost its International status in the last 30 odd years with trade, tourism and professionals shiffting to places like Dubai!
Now it will start to losose its National status and businesses and people shifting to Lahore...
Its a shame, considering the fond memories my parents have of Karachi...
ALL are to blame irrespective of political or any other affiliation!
Karachi will loose its coveted title of revenue-powerhouse in the next decade.
When will the parties who say they represent Karachi, have a MANDATE wake up? This will result in further unemployment in Karachi which further fuels extremism and terrorism.
