KARACHI:

The caretaker provincial minister Noorul Huda Shah has said that the Sindh government was not responsible for rigging on May 11 as it was the election commission’s responsibility.

During the last Sindh cabinet meeting on Tuesday, all ministers told the chief minister how they had performed, she said. “No major decision was made. It was just a farewell gathering.”

The minister felt many people had started levelling unfounded allegations on chief minister Justice (Retd) Zahid Kurban Alavi and his team for the hijacking the polls on May 11. The deteriorating law and order and water shortage were old issues and the caretaker government tried its best to resolve them. “We’ll publish a booklet about the caretaker government’s performance.”
