The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) held a programme in Rahat Marriage Hall, DI Khan city on Tuesday to commemorate Youm-e-Takbeer.

Addressing the participants, PML-N provincial vice president Sardar Sanaullah Miankhel said Quaid-e-Azam created Pakistan while Nawaz Sharif made it the first nuclear-armed Islamic state.

K-P governor directed authorities to expedite the process of disbursing funds meant to compensate traders. He, however, criticised Advocate Rehan Malik, PML-N’s candidate from NA-24 DI Khan, saying he was unfit and his membership should be revoked as he had violated the party’s discipline during the elections.

Other PML-N leaders including Qisar Khan Mainkhel, Dr Abdullah Zafaree, Dr Muhammad Iqbal, Farooq Azam Durrani, Pir Abdul Waheed Zakuree, Chaudary Jawed and Haji Amir Gul were also present at the occasion and participated in the cake cutting ceremony.

On May 28, 1998 Pakistan detonated six nuclear devices under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, making it the seventh nuclear-armed state in the world.
