A video account of the PIA plane that was diverted and escorted down by British fighter jets surfaced on Tuesday, Express News reported.

It shows the men who were allegedly involved in a squabble and subsequently arrested by British commandos on the charge of making a death threat and endangering the plane.

The PIA aircraft, which was carrying as many as 300 passengers from Lahore to Manchester, was diverted to Stansted airport outside London.

The arrested men are now under police custody and the courts have granted them judicial remand till August 5. They had reportedly threatened to blow up the plane.

An airline source was found saying, “When PIA staff approached them and asked them to calm down, they told them to go away otherwise they would blow up the plane.”

@Sana Irfan: Both of these miscreants are born and bredin the UK so you can't pin this on Pakistan. And when drunk and aggressive Westerners are removed from planes in North America and Europe, it also has nothing to do with Pakistan. I am shocked by the fact that so many so called educated Pakistanis have no idea that passengers have been off loaded in Western countries many times in the past for being obnoxious, drunk or threatening staff. Even French actor Gerard Depardieu had to apologize for exposing himself and peeing on board a flight! At least the UK nationals had jobs - albeit menial jobs as a cabbie and shop keeper instead of being like typical UK Asians who have no job at all but live on state khayrat which they call benefits since they are unemployed.
