LAHORE: Swimming in the canal was potentially dangerous as “the water is unhygienic and can cause skin disease and throat infections,” said Dr Irshad Ghumman on Monday.
It could also be dangerous to the eyes and ears, he said. The recent heat wave and load shedding have forced several people turn to bathing in the canal for relief.
