Talking to reporters at Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad on his arrival from London, he added that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will support the new PML-N-led government in the war against terrorism as Nawaz helped his government.
“We will support the government in war against terror and play a due role of opposition in National Assembly,” he stated.
Malik admitted that drone strikes had increased during the PPP-led government.
“Deputy Air Marshal, in his briefing to the security committee formed by PPP government, revealed that Pakistan Air Force is capable of destroying drones. Now, let’s see what stance the new government will adopt.”
The former interior minister alleged that PPP’s mandate was stolen in the May 11 polls. He said rigging allegations are rampant and the nation won’t forgive the Chief Election Commissioner if he fails to take any action.
Talking about his meeting with Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain in London, he said both parties have agreed to work together.
“I am going to convey Altaf Hussain’s message to President Zardari.”

As much as you did.
RM thought turning off cellular service will stop bomb blasts!! NS doesn't have to,...the way things are going, by the time NS takes oath, there won't be any "Power" left in the country to run any service, anyway! It will be a "Total Silence"!!
There will be a visible change initially as the TTP works with Rana Sanaullah, who gets instructions from junior Sharif.
Time will tell taht mr malik did his best and no one will get more success than he did Any body who thinks nawaz will do better is living in talibans paraadise
The menace of eradicating terrorism is not an easy task. Atleast, we expect sincere efforts from Nawaz to counter the issue.
Look who is saying what. lool
We wish NS best of luck !
Unlike DrRahman Malik, the incoming Interior Minister (most likely Abdul Qadir Baloch) will act responsibly and never block mobile phone service, ban pillion riding, give self-contradictory statements etc. Now it is the time for Rahman Malik to go back to UK and leave us alone!
Could Rehman Malik be asked to explain his living beyond known means. Thank God that we got rid of authors of "fake will" namely Babar Awan and Rehman malik.
@Tahir Ali: The focus shouldn't be on fault allocation. All we want is peace, no matter who brings it. So, if he failed, what's your point?? He lost the election. When will you be happy Sir?
Dear Mr.Rehman Malik:
You have already played your innings during the last five years and every time either you were caught behind or run out without even making runs in double digits.
Now let PML(N) play their innings. People of Pakistan are quite optimistic that PML(N) government will do much better than PPP and this is one of the reason's that the voters have given their vote to PML(N) and not to PPP.
Put your hand on your head and swear upon God, how many precious human lives you have been able to save from the suicide bombers during your five year tenure of PPP Government as Federal Minister for Interior, expect that when you switched off the button of all cellular phone companies, including V-fone.
Now it is time for you to take rest, as you may have got very much tired in shuttling between Islamabad and London for umpteen times.
People of Karachi have soft corner for Altaf Bhai of MQM, but not for you, as you failed to deliver as Federal Minister for Interior, Government of Pakistan in saving thousands of precious human lives of all those people who got killed at every nook and corner in Pakistan.
Let us face it, RM failed to bring peace and security in the country
God knows what would happen tomorrow but Mian Sahib is better than all other leaders.
If NS does what RM did not and if does not what RM did, he will deliver, very simple.
