Police had taken away the cricketer's passport last week and asked him not to leave the country after a cheating case was registered against him by his former in-laws. The case was later withdrawn when Shoaib agreed to divorce Ayesha Siddiqui.
The cricketer said that all the disputes have been resolved and holding back of passport now is unnecessary and illegal.
Also, Shoaib said that he needs passport to make arrangements for his Valima reception in Sialkot.
