Epidemic: 3 children die of measles

MULTAN: Three children are reported to have died of measles in Basti Jangwaani, Dera Ghazi Khan on Saturday.

Talking to The Express Tribune District Coordination Officer Ali Bahadur Qazi said, “Teams have been sent in the area and all precautionary measures are being taken.” He said the deceased, Wazeeran, Dhiyani and Maryam, were cousins aged 5 to 7 years.

The residents of the area told The Express Tribune that measles was fast spreading in the area. They said the government had not done much about the disease yet.
