In a statement, the MQM said that their chief’s message to party workers on Friday where he had pointed out the quest for power for those who had won the elections and served in assemblies was but natural. One of the points in that analysis, the party clarified, were taken out of context and an impression was given that the party had taken a final decision on the matter of joining the government.
According to the press note, the party stressed it has not yet taken any decision about joining the new government or sitting on the opposition benches. All options in this regard were open and a decision will be taken in the light of the majority opinion of workers and public.
Earlier in the week, the Pakistan Peoples Party, who secured the most seats in Sindh’s provincial assembly, had finalised the formula for offering the MQM a role in the new Sindh government.
MQM won 18 seats in the National Assembly and 37 seats in the Sindh assembly.

One thing's for sure, now the National Assembly will be a potential wrestling ring with so many colours and players in the scene....PTI,MQM,PML-Q,AML,JI they all will be there and there's no united strong opposition at the moment. They all have complaints and grudges with Nawaz Sharif from the past. So with everyone present there, the environment is definitely going to be an action packed movie. Let's wait and watch.
This is not a news worth publishing as MQM has never sit on opposition benches. Like JUI-F they will join treasury benches regardless of what happens.

I think it is better for MQM to only join PPP in the province of Sindh. In the center PML-N and company has bitter experience in the past and so is the case also with the PPP. This time PML-N has thumbing majority so they should not take any potential risk.
This party is alone due to its aggressive policies and tactics. No party is willing to take them on board, except PPP and look at them, they are showing colors to PPP. Even the gracious appeal to join bandwagon of PPP govt in Sindh is not yet responded with positive posture. PPP can make Govt single-handedly , and they should. People do not care if any party is joining PPP or not in Sindh, what we all care that PPP must show some good governance, end militancy in Karachi, revive economy, build finest educational centers and universities, curb sectarianism, develop sophisticated infrastructure and set an example that PPP is really a party of masses who could also deliver. My fingers are crossed.
