Incidents of violence: Man killed, security personnel injured

Unknown armed men hurled a hand grenade at a CD shop near Awami Petrol Pump of Quetta.

QUETTA: A man was killed and two security personnel injured in different acts of violence in Quetta and Turbat areas of Balochistan on Friday.

According to details, unknown armed men hurled a hand grenade at a CD shop near Awami Petrol Pump of Quetta. As a result, the shopkeeper, identified as Abdul Salam, sustained critical injuries. Police rushed to the site shortly after the incident and shifted the injured to Civil Hospital Quetta, where he breathed his last. Police registered a case of the incident and investigation is underway.

Separately, unknown men hurled a hand grenade at the security forces vehicle in the Tump area of Turbat, which left two personnel of security forces injured. The injured were shifted to the District Head Quarter Hospital immediately and the administration began a search operation for the culprits in the areas, sources said.
