LAHORE: Six independent candidates from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) joined Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday, Express News reported.

The candidates managed to win National Assembly seats in the May 11 general elections.

These independent candidates met PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and officially announced their decision today.

Earlier in the day, an independent candidate from Balochistan joined PML-N – party with 124 seats in the National Assembly.

That's a comment bordering on racism. Being opportunistic is a human instinct, not a monopoly of Pashtuns.

A wise and sensible decision by FATA representatives. It means they want progress, prosperity and peace in their region.
