An Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR) release said that troops will be deployed in the constituency. Their presence is to ensure peaceful atmosphere for voting.
Express News correspondent Ahmed Mansoor said that more than 10,000 army personnel were present in the city during the May 11 elections, but this week's deployment will be significantly less in number.
According to official sources, polling will be held at those stations where complaints of rigging and irregularities were reported.
ECP has finalised polling arrangements and announced the polling stations for which where re-elections will occur: 4, 7, 11, 48, 52, 56, 57, 58, 60, 62, 78,97, 98, 100, 101, 104, 106, 109, 110, 113, 114, 115, 117, 121, 122,131, 135, 136, 137, 139, 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 148, 157, 165, 168,175, 177, 179 and 180.

why Army has not supervised the whole elections. shame on ECP for poor conducting the elections. you people don't deserve to be on the jobs, resign and leave pakistan
And again if pti would be defeated who would be blamed
Again such a drama! We want the Army to be deployed INSIDE the polling stations, to prevent actual rigging, and not merely outside!
@Ayesha Bhaalay: Do you know that Still MQM is is a way lead winner... I think you dont know.. Then Become A Neutral Judge Dont be bias.. Give me your decision : 1- Is it more fair to do polling on selected polling station Or 2- Is it more fair to do polling all the polling station on NA 250.
LOL.. Be smart oki Is it better to read last paragraph of the Story and give exam or Is it better to read whole story and give exam..
Ofc, the one with fears will try boy-cott now. Let the fair and favored party win. Go Go PTI!
Pakistan Army is as important for me as Pakistan.
I don't want that tomorrow Pakistan Army should be blamed that Jawas of Pakistan Army were partial.
I would request to Chief of the Army Staff to kindly request the Chief Ekection Commissioner to hold election in the entire constituency of NA-250, to give afresh start to the residents of the area, otherwise, there will be a lot of hue and cry every where and the peace of Karachi will be at stake.
Now after five years, we are going to have a new government and Pakistan is going to take a new start and I don't want that Army should be pulled in the country's politics, though Army remained aloof during the entire period of PPP tenure.
If ECP can hold election in 43 polling stations, it can also hold election in rest of the constituencies, where election was already held.
The election held in NA-250 should be declared 'null and void' and fresh election under the supervision of Army should take place to address the grievances of all stake holders of NA-250.
Whatever the results may be, all stake holders should agree to it without raising a single voice.
mqm boycot is only because of face saving as they know they were defeated.
and hence MQM will boycott
Well, this is called balancing the equation.
By becoming a party to a to-be-boycotted election by a major party, the army risks appearing to take a side. The plot thickens - and thickens. Someone needs to cut thru the mess, hold elections all over the constituency, let the best party win and get on with it. A PTI win in a boycotted, uncontested election would only be termed a less than immaculate conception.
