On Tuesday evening, a number of MQM supporters from Delhi Colony, Punjab Colony, DHA and Clifton reached the provincial election commission in Karachi, and demanded for elections to be held in the entire constituency
The party leader commended the supporters who took part in the protests against partial re-polling in NA-250.
Altaf congratulated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on his victory in the general elections. He also appealed to Nawaz to “open-heartedly accept the MQM mandate”.
He further expressed his apologies to the media for “any statements [he] may have made out of passion.”
The ECP has issued a notification to both MQM and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to appear before the commission on Friday.

Great Political Maturity shown by Altaf Hussain, i wish Imran Khan could've done the same. My reasons for supporting MQM justifies fruther.

Yesterday the one of the Karachi leader of PTI Mr.Dada in Kamran Khan show was of the view that Altaf Hussain is like a fatherly figure to them . Go check it PTIers . You are just making broo ha ha on the social medias .You have lost ,accept it .
Apology is appreciated but is not enough, this is now his practice to threat and then apologize. He has to replenish polling results, accept rigging has been done in huge numbers and should let ECP re-poll across Karachi.
An apology to the media? He should apologize to the whole nation. He owes an apology to the people of Pakistan.
Calling off the sit-in only after having got the nod from Sindh government that there will be no polling in NA 250 on May 19. I am sure NA 250 polls will only be held once the MQM is back in Sindh government

This is magnanimity of Altaf Hussin, But it is difficult to understand when Baluch leaders from different corners of the world declare that they no longer want to remain a part of the federation, it is not reprimanded but there is talk of redress and remedy. All Mr. Altaf Hussain said that IF and that is IF MQM mandate is not unacceptable then federation can think of detaching Karachi, he didn’t like Baluch leaders announce a need to separate or put head money on individuals like Baluch leaders do.It is incredible that nobody would like to know why Mr altaf Hussian felt forced to say something like that.
